Wildlife Trust Ecology Groups (WTEGs)
There are five Wildlife Trust Ecology Groups across our area. They include:
- The Limestone Ecology Group covering limestone grassland reserves in north Northamptonshire and west Peterborough.
- The Beds and Luton Chalk Ecology Group covering chalk grassland reserves in Luton and Bedfordshire.
- The Nene Valley Ecology Group covering wetland reserves along the River Nene, from Northampton to Peterborough.
- The Greensand Ecology Group covering heathland, mire and woodland reserves along the Greensand Ridge.
- The Cambridgeshire Boulder Clay Woodlands Ecology Group covering ancient woodland reserves in south Cambridgeshire.
The Limestone Ecology Group
From September 2002 the Limestone Ecology Group has been investigating the limestone grasslands and associated habitats reserves in Northamptonshire and Peterborough.

The Bedfordshire & Luton Chalk Ecology Group
From March 2003 the Bedfordshire and Luton Chalk Ecology Group has been investigating the chalk grasslands, in Bedfordshire and Luton.

The Nene Valley Ecology Group
From September 2003 the Nene Valley Ecology Group has been investigating the reservoirs, gravel pits and wet meadows of the River Nene floodplain, in Northamptonshire and Peterborough.

The Greensand Ecology Group
From March 2004 the Greensand Ecology Group has been investigating the Greensand Ridge, in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, including the associated meadows, mires, heathland and woodland.

The Cambridgeshire Boulder Clay Woodlands Ecology Group
From March 2006 the Cambridgeshire Boulder Clay Woodlands Ecology Group has been investigating the ancient woodlands, rides, glades and other grasslands in reserves in south Cambridgeshire.
