Priory Country Park Education Service

Priory Country Park Education Service is based at the Trust’s Bedfordshire office and Visitor’s Centre at Priory Country Park, just east of Bedford. The Country Park, managed by the Bedford Borough Council, covers 300 acres including two lakes, flower grassland and wooded areas. The Park was created following gravel extraction that ended in 1978, and it was opened to the public in 1986. Priory is home to over 300 species of plants and 200 species of birds, as well as a variety of butterflies, moths, molluscs, dragonflies and other invertebrates. The Education Service offers a school visits programme throughout most of the year, and the Park is a delightful place to enjoy wildlife and the outdoors year-round.

Please follow the links to get in touch with the centre manager or for a map of how to find us.

For a comprehensive guide to all programme charges, please see our Education and Community services pricing policy 2008-09.
