Community opportunities

Cambourne Wildlife Days

Events are held once a month in Cambourne to give people the opportunity to discover more about the natural environment and how they can get involved with helping more wildlife to move into Cambourne. Other opportunities

Other ways in which people can get involved are listed below. Opportunities are available:

  • for families
  • for community groups, children's clubs and youth groups
  • for schools
  • for adults who want to learn
  • for adults who want to volunteer

For families there are special events held in Cambourne where families can learn together about wildlife. See Events for details.

For community groups, children's clubs and youth groups there are a wide range of activities that can be offered within Cambourne, such as talks, guided walks, educational activities and practical conservation work.

For schools the Wildlife Trust offers support and resources through our school membership programme. School members can also set up a Watch Group.

For adults who want to learn about different aspects of local wildlife and to understand the countryside better, there are Wildlife Training Workshops. For specific workshops available, see Events for details.

For adults who want to volunteer there are a range of volunteering opportunities.
