Woodland Linkage Community Education Service
Community opportunities
Events are held throughout the year giving people the opportunity to discover more about the natural environment and how they can get involved with helping the Wildlife Trust to care for the woodlands for the future; There are opportunities for families to take part in special themed events such as seed collecting and tree planting days; and midweek family holiday activity days that provide a healthy, fun-filled way to engage children with their local woodland reserve.
For adults who want to volunteer there are opportunities in helping to deliver community activities and education programmes at the three woodland reserves. There are also regular work parties arranged by the wardens of the woodlands, which enable people to develop new skills and become actively engaged in practical conservation work.
Details of specific events, including scheduled work parties, can be found in our What's on? section.
