Target                         £65,000

Raised so far              £60,728

Still to raise              £4,272

Totternhoe Quarry, near Dunstable, is one of the most wildlife-rich nature reserves in Bedfordshire.

Thanks to tremendous support from local people and Wildlife Trust supporters we have already been able to buy the extra 18 acres at Totternhoe to join together our two existing landholdings and allow us to embark on a major restoration to transform the whole area in to one of the most wildlife-rich nature reserves in Bedfordshire.

However, we still need to raise £4,272 to pay for work to improve the new land to make it the perfect home for rare flowers and butterflies – in particular the Duke of Burgundy butterfly that survives at Totternhoe despite declining across most of the UK. We will also create ideal conditions for the rare Small Blue butterfly and many species of orchids and beautiful wildflowers to thrive.

Your support will help us to bring about conditions where all these attractive and rare species can flourish and colonise new areas.
