Corporate supporters lend a hand on Cambridge reserve

Staff at local technology firm, i2 Ltd, spent three days in October helping The Wildlife Trust with late season mowing and scrub clearance at Beechwoods Nature Reserve, ensuring wildflowers can flourish again next spring and summer.

The Beechwoods were planted back in the 1840’s on a chalk ridge above Cambridge. Each spring, before the beech trees budding leaves can cast their shade, delicate white helleborine push up their flowering spikes through the dry chalky soil. This reserve is one of the northern most outposts for these beautiful orchids.

i2 are regular supporters of the Wildlife Trust, as corporate members and through staff volunteering days.

The Wildlife Trust receives help from a number of different companies. This often takes the form of volunteering, but there are many other ways in which companies can lend their support.
