Job & volunteer vacancies

Door to door fundraisers

Location: Across Cambridgeshire, in your local area
Part-time: Between 15 and 20 hours per week, weekday evenings and/or weekend afternoons, March to October
Starting salary: Commission based, between £150 - £250 per week

We need friendly, dedicated and self-motivated people to join our successful team of fundraisers to increase awareness and support for the local Wildlife Trust across Cambridgeshire. Fundraisers represent the Wildlife Trust in their local area by house-calling and leaving information with people who are interested in the Trust’s work, and signing up those who want to support their work through membership. No selling is involved.

You need to have an interest in local wildlife conservation and the environment, and be able to communicate with a range of different people living locally to you. Experience of working with the public is essential, as is a responsible and mature attitude. You need to be computer literate and educated to O/GCSE level or equivalent. Fundraisers need some form of transport such as a car, motorbike or bicycle. We welcome applications from people of all ages and all walks of life.

Fundraisers typically recruit between five and ten new members a week and get paid a percentage for every new member. Other benefits include:

  • Meeting like-minded people
  • Gentle exercise and fresh air
  • Supporting a worthy cause
  • No hard sell
  • The potential to earn a good wage
  • Part-time hours
  • Free time during the day
  • The freedom of self-employment
  • Being part of a successful team

For an application form, please download the document in the top-right box, or email Lindsey.O'Donnell@wildlifebcnp.org.

Please note, the fundraising season has now finished for 2008 and will recommence in March 2009. We welcome applications now for next season.
