Reserve warden/assistant warden
Many people from all walks of life dedicate their time to helping the Wildlife Trust look after its nature reserves. Chief among these are our voluntary reserve wardens and assitant wardens, without whom The Wildlife Trust could just not do the job properly.
The qualities the Trust looks for in a volunteer warden are enthusiasm and a desire to visit the reserve regularly - both to report back to us if there are any issues which we need to deal with, and to give us sightings of plants and animals. On some reserves there is also the opportunity to carry out practical management tasks, ranging from willow and reed cutting to litter removal.
