Planning and biodiversity officer

Location: Northampton
Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £16,500 - £18,500 (Two-year contract with possible extension subject to funding)

The Wildlife Trust is looking for an enthusiastic person with a keen interest and commitment to conservation in the wider countryside to join the dynamic Northamptonshire team. We guide the planning of development, deliver BAP projects, advise landowners and survey and administer the Local Wildlife Sites system.

You will need an understanding of the principles of ecology and habitat management, as well as of the planning process. Experience of dealing with planning applications and landowner liaison and are also important. Botanical and habitat survey skills are desirable. You should be flexible and be prepared to work within a team on a wide variety of office and site based tasks.
